Last Day of Swimming

Today was our last day of swimming at Freybeg school. 
We had so much fun learning how to swim from the amazing staff at Duck 'n' Dive swim academy. As it was our last day we had extra fun and played lots of games in the pool.

We made a huge whirl pool... well we tried to, but didn't quite get the hang of going in a circle. Oh well, it was still fun!

  We were so sad to say goodbye to swimming, but looking forward to having our normal school day back.

Thank you so much to all of the parents who came along as parent helpers. The kids and I really appreciated having you there. 

World day of Peace

Thank you so much to everyone who donated towards helping those whose lives were affected by cyclone Gita.

We spent the day learning about how we can work together to make the world a more peaceful place. We shared our ideas and wrote our favourite ideas down on doves of peace as a daily reminder to show love and peace to all.

The week that was

We had such a fun and jam packed week last week with swimming, Shrove Tuesday and a wonderful Ash Wednesday service.

We had a ball with Miss Robinson's class on Shrove Tuesday making and eating yummy pancakes. 

Look at how much fun we had splashing about at Freyberg school pool and meeting our new swimming teachers for the next two weeks. 

Swimming Notice

Just a reminder that we have swimming tomorrow the 15th of February for our swimming assessment before we begin lessons on Monday the 19th! Just another fun thing to add to our wonderfully busy week.  :)

Kia ora Whanau,

As part of our school swimming programme we receive some funding from GAAP to enable students to take part in the swimming and water safety lessons.

As part of this our 2 year 3 classes will have their first swimming lesson on Thursday. Room 12 and 10 will not be swimming on Thursday.

Room 9 will leave Holy Cross at 12:30. Their lesson will begin at 12:55 and finish at 1:30pm.

Room 8 will leave Holy Cross at 1:05, Their lesson will begin at 1:30 and finish at 2:05pm.

On Friday Rooms 8 and 9 will not be swimming. Instead Rooms 12 and 10 will be going for their final lesson.

On Monday Rooms 8 and 9 will return to their normal times.

Room 9 will leave Holy Cross at 9:05, Their lesson will begin at 9:25 and finish at 10am.

Room 8 will leave Holy Cross at 9:40. Their lesson will begin 10 and finish at 10:35am.
